A good logo can do wonders for a new business.
Creating a logo that is memorable and usable, but that also encapsulates the ethos of the business can be difficult.
I have often been asked to design websites or printed materials based on a company logo, so I understand the importance of a corporate brand, and how it is carried across all media.
The first logo shown is for a local accounting firm, Avery Martin. They wanted a new logo to give the company a more relevant and modern look. I only had to create a few versions of the logo before I arrived at something the client was happy with.
The next logo shown is for another local accountant, Bracken Court Associates. The main part of the brief was to create a logo with an icon, as they wanted an image they could use across various media.
The last 2 logos are for a local canvas print company. Their main site is ForYourWall, and the secondary site is ForYourBaby, which specialises in prints for nurseries and children's bedrooms. They wanted their logos redesigned so that the ForYour part was very distinguishable from the rest, as they plan to add a few more companies under the ForYour umbrella. Although the icons were already set, I went through many iterations of each logo to get to a point where the client was happy with both font and layout.
